  CAPTER-2 in Mark

2-1And when had come back to Capernaum several days afterward, it was heard that He was at home.
And many were gathered together, so that there was no longer room, even near the door; and He was speaking the word to them.

・・家におられるという噂が立ったので多くの人々が集まって来て、もはや戸口の辺りまでも隙間が無いほどになった。And they came, bringing to Him a paralytic, carried by four men. And being unable to get to Him on account of the crowd, they removed the roof above Him; and when they had dug an opening, they let down the pallet on which the paralytic was lying.
・・屋根をはぎ穴をあけて中風の者を寝かせたまま床に吊りおろした。And Jesus seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, "My son, your sins are forgiven." But there were some of the scribes sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, “Why does this man speak that way? He is blaspheming; who can forgive sins but God alone? "
何故あんなことを言うのか。誰が罪を許すことが出来るのか」。And immediately Jesus, perceiving in His spirit that they were reasoning that way within themselves, said to them, “Why are you reasoning about these things in your hearts?  Which is easier to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven;’ or to say, ‘Arise, and take up your pallet and walk’? “But in order that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” – He said to the paralytic, "I say to you, rise, take up your pallet and go home.” And he rose and immediately took up the pallet and went out in the sight of all; so that they were all amazed and were glorying God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this." 中風の者に向かって「貴方に命じる。起きよ、床を取りあげて家に帰れ」彼は起き上がり、すぐに床を取りあげて、みんなの前を出て行った。【2-1,from People
・・・ そろそろ(段々と)律法学者など神社関係の仕事をしている人々が、迷惑そうにしてきました。 難癖(いいがかり)を付け始めて来た様子が手に取るように伝わってきます。Gradually scribes and workers related to shrine are annoying so. It’s easy to know that they make troubles against to Jesus.

Mark-14、Examining the Risen-miracle(復活) with the eyes of Science. Hiro. Oyama

【And when the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him. And very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen. And they were saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?” And looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away, although it was extremely large.
 And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting at the right, wearing a white robe; and they were amazed. And he said to them, “Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; behold, here is the place where laid Him. “But go, tell His disciples and Peter, ‘He is going before you into Galillee, there you will see Him, just as He said to you.” And they went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had gripped them; and they said nothing to another, for they were afraid.
 イエスは あなた方より先に、ガリラヤへ行かれる。かねて、貴方がたに言われた通り、そこでお会いできるであろう」、と。

…、For two or three years, the women who were with Jesus and seeing the uncountable Miracles. I’m anxious to the documentation that even-they were only afraid not to believe the young man wearing a white robe and saying, “He has risen and is not here.”
(But it should be the fact that “How peoples were felt to the miracle which was happened in front of their eyes.”)
・・ 足掛け3年という間、イエスが起された数え切れないほどの奇蹟を見続けて来たにもかかわらず、マリア達でさえも、〔イエスが復活されたこと〕を信じられず、ただ、恐ろしかったと記録してあることに、正直なところ、私は不思議を感じます。

CHAPTER-15 in Mark’s testament (just before the last)
【 And early in the morning the chief priests, with the elders and scribes, and the whole Council, immediately held a consultation, and binding Jesus, they led Him away, and delivered Him up to Pilate. And Pilate questioned Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” And answering He said to him, “It is as you say.” And the chief priests began to accuse Him harshly.
 And Pilate was questioning Him again, saying, “Do You make no answer? See how many charges they bring against You!”
 But Jesus made no further answer; so that Pilate was astonished.


・・ マルコは端的・必要最小限の記述を努力しています。読者の我々に取って、まことに有難い!

 Marco committed description short and require minimal. Our readers take a truly grateful!
 Now at the feast he used to release for them any one prisoner whom they requested. And the man named Barabbas had been imprisoned with the insurrectionists who had committed murder in the insurrection. And the multitude went up and began asking him to do as he had been accustomed to do for them. And Pilate answered them, saying, the King of the Jews?”
 For he was aware that the chief priests had delivered Him up because of envy. But the chief priests stirred up the multitude to ask him to release Barabbas for them instead.
 And answering again, Pilate was saying to them, “Then what shall I do to Him whom you call the King of the Jews?” And they shouted back, “Crucify Him!” But Pilate was saying to them, “Why, what evil has He done?”
 But they shouted all the more, “Crucify Him!” And wishing to satisfy the multitude, Pilate released Barabbas for them, and after having Jesus scourged, he delivered Him over to be crucified.
 のためであることが、ピラトには分かっていたからである。しかし祭司長達は、バラバの方を許してもらうように、群集を煽動 した。

・・ 神とか精霊とかの言葉を極力用いないで、人情や人間性など心の動きを、主語を明確にしつつ書かれているので、かえって分かり易い〔同意しやすい〕。
・・ So while clearly the subject touched of the mind and human feelings and human nature, such as written words of God or spirit or not as much as possible, rather easy to understand [easy to agree].

Mark-12、The mean of Twice of cock’s crowing; Copies’ rule. Hiro. Oyama

Mark’s text was written first, and other three enlarged it.
from 27-section in Mark's testament CHAPTER-14
 マルコによる福音書 ・・ 第14章、27節~
 するとペテロはイエスに言った、「たとい、みんなの者がつまずいても、私はつまずきません」。 イエスは言われた、「貴方によく言っておく。今日、今夜、鶏が二度鳴く前に、そう言う貴方が、三度私を知らないと言うだろう」。
 Mark’s testament in CHAPTER-14 from 27-section
 And Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away, because it is written, ‘I WILL STRIKE DOWN THE SHEPHERD, AND THE SHEEP SHALL BE SCATTERD.’ “But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee.”
 But Peter said to Him, “Even though all may fall away, yet I will not.” And Jesus said to him, “Truly I say to you, that you yourself this very night, before a cock crows twice, shall three times deny Me.”
 But Peter kept saying insistently, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!”
 And they all were saying the same thing, too.

・・ 興味本位で申し訳ありませんが、この場面は大変興味深い箇所なので、四つの福音書で記載文章を比較してみましょう
 Interest I'm sorry, but this scene is very interesting places, so let's compare the description text in the four Gospels.


 Matthew’s testament in CHAPTER-26 from 31-section
 Then Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away because of Me this night, for it is written, ‘I WILL STRIKE DOWN THE SHEPHERD, AND THE FLOCK SHALL BE SCATTERD.’ “But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee.”
 But Peter answered and said to Him, “Even though all may fall away because of You, I will never fall away.” Jesus said to him, “Truly I say to you that this very night, before a cock crows, you shall deny Me three times.”
 Peter said to Him, “Even if I must die with You, I will not deny You.”
 All the disciples said the same thing too.

・・ なあんだ、「二度鳴く前に」が、マタイ書で(うっかり)省略され、自明の言葉3つが、追加されてるだけの違いですね。
 What is the difference, only has three words of self-evident, "2 times before a cock crows" is omitted (accidentally?) by Matthew.
Only within this comparison alone, it is clear that Matthew copied and revised the Matthew’s testament referring to the Mark's Text.

Mark-11、Bible enlarged, revised in many-times by men. Hiro. Oyama


 When you compiled the New Testament if compared to it were adopted, it has more than 80 Gospels were considered negligible, only each transfer of Matthew Mark Luke John.
It's due to the person's hand is the Bible. It is not God. It's not fell down like magic from above the clouds. Set up gradually through the endless number of translations made by humans as a historical record of the troubled times and enlarged and revised. Standard Edition of the Bible is history not even once

We are examining about miracles of Jesus under the common recognition of Western educated person but these implicit in the truth, Angel and UFO experience, while looking through the eyes of science.

  CHAPTER-11 in Mark's testament

And some Sadducees (who say that there is no resurrection) came to Him, and began questioning Him, saying, “Teacher, Moses wrote for us a law that IF A MAN’S BROTHER DIES, and leaves behind a wife, AND LEAVES NO CHILD, HIS BROTHER SHOULD TAKE THE WIFE, AND RAISE UP OFFSPRING TO HIS BROTHER.
“There were seven brothers; and the first one took a wife, and died, leaving no offspring. “And the second one took her, and died, leaving behind no offspring; and the third likewise; and so all seven left no offspring. Last of all the woman died too. “In the resurrection, “when they rise again, which one’s wife she be? For all seven had her as wife.”
Jesus said to them, “”Is this not the reason you are mistaken, that you do not understand the Scriptures, or the power of God? “For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. “But regarding the fact that the dead rise again, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the burning bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I AM THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, AND THE GOD OF ISAAC, AND THE GOD OF JOCOB’? “He is not the God of the dead, but of the living; you are greatly mistaken.”

・・ この悟りの境地は、BC500年ごろインドで活躍したブッダ(お釈迦様)の悟りの境地と非常に似ています。もっとも、よみがえる とはいわず、輪廻転生思想にブッダは立っています。
 This quietness is very much similar to the quietness of Buddha who lived in BC 500 around India. But not to say as ‘rise from dead’, but Buddha stand on the thought of Transmigration of the soul;

【 ・・・天地創造の初めから『神は人を男と女とに造られた。それ故に、人はその父母を離れ、ふたりの者は一体となるべきである』。・・
 And rising up, He went from there to region of Judea, and beyond the Jordan; and crowds gathered around Him again, and, according to His custom, He once more began to teach them.
And some Pharisees came up to him, testing Him, and began to question Him whether it was lawful for a man to divorce a wife. And He answered and said to them, “What did Moses command you?” And they said, “Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce and send her away.” But Jesus said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment. “But from the beginning of creation, God MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE.
; consequently they are no longer two, but one fresh. “What therefore God has joined together, let np man separate.”

・・ 最後の文章は、何処かで聞いたことありませんか?私の記憶では、キリスト教会で、結婚式で必ず引用される文章のようですね。
 Have you ever heard about ‘FOR THIS CAUSE A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH’ This sentences are read in the church for a Marriage ceremony.

 【・・「だれでも自分の妻を出して他の女をめとる者は、その妻に対して姦淫を行うのである。また妻がその夫と別れて他の男にとつぐならば、姦淫を行うのである」。And back in the house again, the disciples began questioning Him about this matter. And He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery again her; and if she herself divorces husband and marries another man, she is committing adultery.”

・・ 他の福音書で、ここの部分がどのように表現されているのかは知りませんが、『浮気は良くないよ』と言っておられるだけですね。マルコは、『この程度のことしかイエスは言ってませんよ』と、主張しているように響くのですが、この解釈は変ですか?
 I don't know what about potion of this section is described how, in the other Gospels (not out), but only he is saying as "cheating is not good!", isn’t he?
Is it strange that Mark is saying in his mind, “Jesus said only like this” (for me it be heard)?

【 イエスに触って頂くために、人々が幼な子らをみもとに連れて来た。ところが弟子達は彼らをたしなめた。それを見てイエスは憤り、彼らに言われた「幼な子らを私の所に来るままにしておきなさい。止めてはならない。神の国はこのような者の国である。よく聞いておくがよい。誰でも幼な子のように神の国を受け入れる者でなければ、そこに入ることは決して出来ない」。そして彼らを抱き、手をその上において祝福された。
 And they began bringing children to Him, so that He might touch them; and the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, “Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belong to such as these."Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it at all.” And He took them in His arms and began blessing them, laying His hands upon them.

・・ これも、実に微笑ましいイエスらしい愛の言動です
 It is a behavior like this is really pleasing Jesus love.

Mark-9、We are reading of Mark with scientific eyes. Hiro. Oyama

Mark's マルコによる福音書を読み続けています。




 And He was saying to them, “Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who shall not taste of death until they see the kingdom of God after it has come with power.” And six days later, Jesus took with Him Peter and James and John, and brought them up to a high mountain by themselves. And He was transfigured before them; and His garments became radiant extremely white, as no launderer on earth can whiten them. And Elijah appeared to them along with Moses; and they were conversing with Jesus. And Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tabernacles, one for You and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” For he did not know what to answer; for they became terrified.  Then a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is My beloved Son, listen to Him!”  And all at once they looked around and saw no one with them any more, except Jesu only.

・・ 『ペテロ、ヤコブ、ヨハネだけを連れて』という箇所は気になりますが、『その雲の中から声があった、「これはわたしの愛する子である。これに聞け」。』と声がして、直ぐにイエス
 Although we must be attention to the document that Jesus took with Him Peter and James and John, but the following description: Then a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, ~ And all at once they looked around and saw no one with them any more, except Jesu only is reliable in science eye.   Speaking with plainly and strictly, the document of ‘Elijah appeared to them along with Moses’ is doubt-full (non-reliable). Mark was saying in mind that it is only a hallucination with high reliability.

【一同が山を下って来るとき、イエスは「人の子が死人の中からよみがえるまでは、いま見たことを誰にも話してはならない」と彼らに命じられた。彼らはこの言葉を心にとめ、死人の中からよみがえるとはどういうことかと互いに論じ合った。 そしてイエスに尋ねた「なぜ、律法学者達は、エリヤが先に来るはずだと言っているのですか」。

 And as they were coming down from the mountain, He gave them orders not to relate to anyone what they had seen, until the Son of Man should rise from the dead. And they seized upon that statement, discussing with one another what rising from the dead might mean.  And they questioning Him, saying, “Why is it that the scribes say that first Elijah must come?” And He said to them, “Elijah does first come and restore everything. And yet how is it written of the Son of Man that He should suffer many things and be treated with contempt? “But I say to you, that Elijah has indeed come, and they did to him whatever they wished, just as it is written of him.”

・・ このエリヤというのは律法学者達が言っているエリヤであり〔バプテスマのヨハネ〕がこれに該当しています。一方、イエスが言っているエリヤは、イエス自身のことを指していると、読み取るのが自然の様にも見えます。「人の子」とはイエス自身を自分で指して呼んでいるのです。この辺りは、「ペテロ&ヤコブ&ヨハネ」の記憶の中にも、混乱があるのではないでしょうか。
 This ‘Elijah’ is the Elijah whom scribes are saying about, and [John the Baptist] is he. On the other hand, the ‘Elijah’ whom Jesus is saying about is Jesus of himself, we should treat it like that in naturally.  Jesus calls himself as "son of man". Concerning about these discussion, there is a little bit confusion in memory of Peter and James and John, isn't it?


 And when they came back to the disciples, they saw a large crowd around them, and some scribes arguing with them. And immediately, when the entire crowds saw Him, they were, amazed and began running up to greet Him. And He asked them, “What are you discussing with them?” And one of the crowds answered Him, “Teacher, I brought You my son, possessed with a spirit which makes him mute; and whenever it seizes him, it dashes him to the ground and he foams at the mouth, and grinds his teeth, and stiffens out. And I told Your disciples to cast it out, and they could not do it.”


 And He answered them and said, “O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him to Me!” And they brought the boy to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit threw him into a convulsion, and falling to the ground, he began rolling about and foamed at the mouth.

 And He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood. “And it has often thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, take pity on us and help us!”  And Jesus said to him, “If You can!” All things are possible to him who believes.”



 Immediately the boy’s father cried out and began saying, “I do believe, help me in my unbelief.” And when Jesus saw that a crowd was rapidly gathering, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “You deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and do not enter him again.”  And after crying out and throwing him into terrible convulsions, it came out; and the boy became so much like a corpse that most of them said, “He is dead!” But Jesus took him by the hand and raised him; and he got up. And when He had come into the house, His disciples began questioning Him privately, “Why is it that we could not cast it out?” And He said to them, “This kind cannot come out by anything but prayer.”

 ・・ ペテロ&ヤコブ&ヨハネとイエスの四人が山から下って来た以降のこの記述は、元のマルコ文章に戻っています。
 The document after when the four-member (Peter, James, John and Jesus) came back is the Mark’s natural sentences (documentation). So we can guess it that Mark dared to insert the unreliable documents to clear when this Miracle has happened.  And at the last sentence; ‘This kind cannot come out by anything but prayer’ is seemed to be most medical comment, I should think.

Mark-8、Miracle: 4000-people satisfied with 7-bread:Scientific Observation. Hiro. Oyama

 Restart reading from the Gospel of Mark, Chapter-7, section 5.

 And the Pharisees and the scribes asked Him, “Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat their bread with impure hands?” And He said to them, “Rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is
 He was also saying to them, “You nicely set aside the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition.

; but you say, ‘If a man says to his father or his mother, anything of mine you might have been helped by is Corban ( that is to say, “given to God);  you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or his mother; thus invalidating the word of God by your tradition which you have handed down; and you do many such things like that.”
 And summoning the multitude again, He began saying to them, “Listen to Me, all of you, and understand: there is nothing outside the man which going into him can defile him; but the things which proceed out of the man are what defile the man.And when leaving the multitude, He had entered the house, His disciples questioned Him about the parable.  And He said to them, “Are you too so uncomprehending? Do you not see that whatever goes into the man from outside cannot defile him: because it does not go into his heart, but into his stomach, and is eliminate?” (Thus He declared all foods clean.)
 And He was saying, “That which proceeds out of the man, that which proceeds out of the man, that is what defiles the man. “For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts and fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride and foolishness. All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man.”
But after hearing of Him, a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit, immediately came and fell at His feet.

 Now the woman was a Gentile, of the Syrophoencian race. And she kept asking Him to cast the demon out of her daughter. And He was saying to her, “Let the children be satisfied first, for it is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.”

But she answered and said to Him, “Yes Lord, but even the dogs under the table feed on the children’s crumbs. And He said to her, “Because of this answer go your way; the demon has gone out of your daughter.” And going back to her home, she found the child lying on the bed, the demon having departed.


・・ もう、この病気を治したり、悪霊を追い出したりする奇蹟に関しては、抵抗感なく読む事が出来るようになったでしょ・・ Without resistance, you became to be able to read about miracles, heal these illness and driving out evil spirits.

And again He went out from the region of Tyre, and came through Sidon to the sea of Galilee, within the region of Decapolis.  And they brought to Him one who was deaf and spoke with difficulty, and they entreated Him to lay His hand upon him.
 And He took him aside from the multitude by himself, and put His fingers into his ears, and after spitting, He touched his tongue with the saliva; and looking up to heaven with a deep sigh, He said to him, “Ephphatha!” that is, “Be opened!

Mark-7、5つのパンと魚2匹。Satisfied with only 5-loaves and 2-fish. Hiro. Oyama

 Let’s organize for the miracle that 5-thousands of men were satisfied withfive loaves and two fish”. We are on the way of Mark, but including the meaning of review, let us read the part of the Gospel of Matthew chapter (Chapter 14, section 13-21).

【 Now when Jesus heard it, He withdrew from there in a boat, to a lonely place by himself; and when the multitudes heard of this, they followed Him on foot from the cities. And when He came out, He saw a great multitude, and felt compassion for them, and heard their sick. And when it was evening, the disciples came to Him, saying, “The place is desolate, and the time is already past; so send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages, and buy food for themselves.”




イエスは言われた、「それをここに持ってきなさい」。そして群集に命じて、草の上に座らせ、五つと2匹の魚とを手に取り、天を仰いでそれを祝福し、パンを割いて弟子達に渡された。弟子達はそれを群集に与えた。 みんなの者は食べて満腹 した。パンくずの残りを集めると、12の篭(かご)に一杯になった。食べた者は女と子供とを除いて、おおよそ五千人であった。 But Jesus said to Him, “They do not need to go away; you give them something to eat!” And they said to Him, “We have here only five loaves, and two fish.”  And He said, “Bring them here to Me.” And ordering the multitudes to recline on the grass, He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up toward heaven, He blessed the food, and breaking the loaves He gave them to the disciplines, and the disciplines gave to the multitudes, and they all ate, and were satisfied. And they picked up what was leftover of the broken pieces, twelve full baskets.  And there were about five thousand men who ate, aside from women and children.

 結局、四つの福音書で、同じ箇所を通読したのですが、違いが全く分からないほど、内容が同一であるのが納得出来ましたか。 After all, in the four Gospels, we read the same place. But, can you find the differences among them? They are too similar to find the difference without compering them precisely. Can you agree that the contents are identical, can't you?

【 さて、イエスの名が知れ渡って、ヘロデの耳に入った。ある人々は「バプテスマのヨハネが、死人の中からよみがえって来たのだ。それで、あのような力が彼のうちに働いているのだ」と言い、また他の人々は、「昔の預言者のような預言者だ」と言った。
ところがヘロデはこれを聞いて「私が首を切ったあのヨハネがよみがえったのだ」と言った。】 And king Herod heard of it; for His name had become well known; and people were saying, “John the Baptist has risen from the dead and therefore these miraculous powers are at work in him.” But others were saying, “He is Elijah.” And others were saying, “He is a prophet, like one of the prophets of old.” But when Herod heard of it, he kept saying, “John, whom I beheaded, he has risen!”

・・ 今皆さんと一緒に読んでいる「マルコによる福音書」の、〔書き出し部〕は、バプテスマのヨハネがイエスに洗礼を授けるシーンから始まりましたが、それっきりヨハネは登場していませんでした。この第六章の中ほどに来て、ヘロデ王が、ヨハネの首を刎ねた(はねた:殺した)のが分かります。 


【In Mark's Gospel as now I'm reading with you [Export Department] that was started from the scene John the Baptist baptize Jesus, but clearly he(John) does not appeared.  Coming in the middle of Chapter-6, King Herod would behead the John the Baptist (behead: kill) of you know. So author Marco is explaining the situation to insert here the 6th chapter.


 そこで、妻ヘロデヤはヨハネを恨み、彼を殺そうと思っていたが、出来ないでいた。それはヘロデが、ヨハネは正しくて聖なる人であることを知って、彼を恐れ、彼に保護を加え、またその教えを聞いて非常に悩みながらも、なお喜んで聞いていたからである。 For Herod himself had sent and had John arrested and bound in prison on account of Herodians, the wife of his brother Philip, because he had married her.   And Herodians had a grudge against him and wanted to kill him, and could not do so; For Herod was afraid of John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and kept him safe. And when he heard him, he was very perplexed; but he used to enjoy listening to him.

ヘロデは自分の誕生日の祝いに、高官や将校やガリラヤの重立った人たちを招いて宴会を催したが、そこへ、このヘロデの娘(サロメ)が入ってきて舞をまい、ヘロデをはじめ、列座の人達を喜ばせた。そこで王はこの少女に「欲しいものは何でも言いなさい。あなたに あげるから」と言い、さらに「欲しければ、この国の半分でもあげよう」とまで誓って言った。
 And a strategic day came when Herod on his birthday gave a banquet for his lords and military commanders and the leading men of Galilee;  And when the daughter of Herodias herself came in and danced, she pleased Herod and his dinner-guests; and the king said to the girl, “Ask me for whatever you want and I will give it to you.”

 And he swore to her, “Whatever you ask me, I will give it to you; up to half of my kingdom.”  And she went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask for? And she said, “The head of John the Baptist.”

 王は非常に困ったが、いったん誓ったのと、また列座の人達の手前、少女の願いを退けることを好まなかった。そこで、ヘロデ王はすぐに、衛兵を遣わし、ヨハネの首を持って来るように命じた。 And although the king was very sorry; yet because of his oaths and because of his dinner-guests, he was unwilling to refuse her. And immediately the king sent an executioner and commanded him to bring back his head.

 衛兵は出て行き、獄中でヨハネの首を切り、盆にのせて持って来て、少女に与え、少女はそれを母に渡した。 ヨハネの弟子達は、このことを聞き、その死体を引き取りにきて、墓に納めた。And he went and brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the girl; and the girl gave it her mother. And when his disciples heard about this, they came and took away his body and laid it in a tomb.

・・ 以上が挿入された実話ですが、イエスの伝記物語の途中でまことに、自然な形で、状況説明文が挿入されています。

似たような実話が、旧約聖書の中 にもありました。

 要するに、ハマンの陰謀が明らかになりハマンを殺したまでは、ほめられた話しなのですが、そのあと、エステル王妃は壮絶な仕返しを実行していくのです。興味ある方は「旧約聖書:エステル記の第八章」辺りを参照して頂くとして、新約聖書に戻ります。 This is True story inserted in the middle of the biographical story of Jesus, and it was inserted as a natural description. Woman is scary, isn’t she? A similar story was also in the old Bible. It is the story of Esther which was read in "Festival of Purim" in Israel. It is recorded in detail as "the situation selected Queen Esther" and "machinations of Haman and activity of Esther".  In short, Haman's conspiracy was found out, and Esther killed Him, until here complimented. But after that, Esther the Queen had run into a fierce revenge. Those who are interested see Old Bible: Chapter 8 of the book of Esther "around here would like to see.  And let’s return to a new testament.

【 さて、使徒達はイエスのもとに集まってきて、自分達がしたことや教えたことを、みな報告した。するとイエスは彼らに言われた、「さあ、貴方がたは、人を避けて寂しい所へ行って、しばらく休むがよい」。それは、出入りする人が多くて、食事をする暇もなかったからである。

 And the apostles gathered together with Jesus and they reported to Him all that they had done and taught. And He said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a lonely place and rest a while.”(For there were many people coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.)  And they went away in the boat to a lonely place by themselves. And the people saw them going, and many recognized them, and they ran there together on foot from all the cities, and got there ahead of them.

・・ 現代流で言えば、「人気タレントのおっかけ」ですね。遊びとしてやっているのではなく、老いも若きも、一生懸命追っかけているのでした。
